The bearing profile for Armstrong assembly is made on special roll forming machines from 0.4 mm thick galvanized steel sheet. Galvanized zinc coating protects the metal from corrosion processes. Even if the integrity of the zinc layer is violated in places of metal damage due to the zinc-steel galvanic couple, a strong oxide film is formed, which reliably protects the steel core of the profile from corrosion.
In addition to galvanizing, the surfaces of the support profile are opened with a decorative colored coating. Standard colors: White, Black

Depending on the manufacturer, the support profile is produced by measuring 3600 mm long segments. There are special latches at the ends of the rails to increase the length profiles easily and quickly during the installation of the Armstrong ceiling. The shape of the slots of the locks allows simple, clean, and quick assembly of the lap profiles to the desired length. There are two types of holes in the vertical wall of the main T24 carrier profile. Round holes are designed to attach a wire rod suspension to which the false ceiling is attached to the main floor. There are rectangular holes for mounting the transverse guides (long - 1200 mm or short - 600 mm).

Installation of the main rail The T24 Main Bearing Profile is one of the first steps for the installation of suspended ceilings. The location of the Armstrong panels will depend on how the carrier profile is mounted. Before installing the main T24 carrier profile, you must mark the room. It should be noted that the width and length of the room will not be a multiple of 600 mm (the size of a standard plate for the Armstrong ceiling), therefore, the end plates will have to be cut.
For the suspended ceiling to have an aesthetic appearance, the T24 Main Carrier Profile should be made symmetrical on the sides perpendicular to the entrance and the last row of tiles (which must be cut to size) should be left above the entrance door. For the rockwool suspended ceiling panels to lie symmetrically, the layout of the room should start from the perimeter and the main support profile should be placed in the middle of the ceiling.
